Hopefully, when you purchased your current home you were well informed and applied several known rules. It's those rules that are now going to make you money (receive a nice check at closing) when you sell. A few example rules include:

  • Evaluating the market - Seeing the "total market" then narrowing to "local market" data
  • Buying the midrange home in the best neighborhood you can afford
  • Never buy the top of the market
